If you choose to use the upper floors during play, you will need to get creative in how you hide the mysteries of the map. Due to the many curves in the castle and its complex layout, Hide Volumes for the upper floors just aren’t justifiable given how much the castle would need to change (and how much time it would take to do so) to make them work correctly.

Getting the height correct such that floors above the play area are hidden while still leaving room to move your token, can take skill.

The height slider in Talespire is fickle, even when locked in place. We designed the map to mitigate these limitations as much as we could but there are still several issues to keep in mind. When you first load the board you will need to change your board settings to accomodate the height! The castle is BIG!Ĭastle Ravenloft has pushed Talespire to its limit and, unfortunately, playing through the upper castle map may prove to be frustrating in practical play.

The map is located at a minimum height of 300 and max of about 900.
